- The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased 0.9% in October after rising 0.4% in September.
- CPI increased 6.2% from a year ago, the highest reading in 30 years.
- Prices remained above 5% for the fifth straight month.
- The core CPI, which excludes food and energy, rose 0.6% in October and is up 4.6% from the previous year.
- The energy index is up 30.0% and the food index is up 5.3% from the previous year.
